Runners Will Honor the 4 Million Americans with Sjogren’s

The Sjogren’s Syndrome Foundation is signing up runners for the San Diego Rock N Roll Half Marathon or Relay Race on Sunday, June 3 in San Diego. A total of 20,000 runners are expected to attend but the SSF has only 25 reserved spots for the races so prospective runners are urged to sign up quickly. The course wraps through the city’s favorite neighborhoods, and live music and entertainment along the way.

All Sjogren’s runners, and even walkers (contestants can choose to run/walk or even walk the whole race), will be coached by world-class Sjogren’s members who have successfully trained hundreds of runners in previous years. For the first time this year, runners can choose three different races: the complete 13.1 mile half marathon, or the relay race where one runner runs 6.8 miles and another runs 6.3 miles.

To learn more about the details of the race and the event there will be two informational conference calls with SSF staff and the team trainer on Thursday, February 22: at noon EST and at 8 pm EST. To RSVP for the call and receive the conference call number, contact Michele at and let her know which call you’d like to join. If you can’t join a call but want information about training and fundraising requirements, contact Steven Taylor at

Team Sjogren’s is dedicated to helping to raise awareness of Sjogren’s Syndrome and raise funds for research and education.
